Real World Delays

September 15, 2026

My youngest son, who is a disabled adult, was taken ill last week and had to be hospitalized. As I provide care assistance for him around the clock, I needed to stay in hospital with him. He will continue to need extra physician visits for several weeks.

As a result, I hope everyone understands that I have been unable to work on the novels for over a week. This has thrown my schedule out the window and I cannot at this point be confident that I will be able to publish either The First Journey of Amos Cutter or The Tower (only 30% written) this month. If things settle down, I will work to finish the polish pass on TFJOFC and get it out the door as soon as possible.

I have therefore decided (my son’s illness permitting) to put up some of the draft (very raw) chapters of The Tower to read for free on my website here. Once the novel is published, I will take those down.

I appreciate everyone’s understanding and support at this time.
